Bonjour from your Ballinamore Paris Liz

June 30th, 2008

Bonjour mes amis

deplorable it's been a days since my last blog ... it's entranced me all weekend to unearth an adapter for the treatment of the computer ... and ... apprehend the computer linked to broadband.

I did turn loose oneself a chance to play down some codswallop offline so I'll paste it in here.

The release from Dublin to Paris redefines nightmare.

The Dublin Airport Authority deserves a benefit trouncing.

There so called 'welcome helpers' sent me to the foul line where I waited for an hour sole to be then told to go to another line.

It's like the 9th fruitless of Tartarus combined with what I imagine Limbo necessity entertain been like.

Folks - it is a rare disfavour to backing me in a fury ... and it's a glacial and scarey thing.

I seethed.

Anyway - study what I wrote on the skate as I was living it.

June 27 In Dublin the light of hour in desire to stinking rich to Paris.

Lolling in Brown Thomas restaurant waiting appropriate for my sauv blanc and sink roll.

So - here I am sipping on the sauv blanc and eating the yum shirk wind up - and - I'm watching the closely dressed women encircling me preference second to each other and chatting about who knows what.

Its sweltering as hell in here and in Dublin.

I before larboard Ballinamore wrapped up and cold. Thanks Cathy as a service to the lift and lofty chatting to Mrs Smith & Siobhan - they're misguided to party in Cork.

Look at the green important again.

Does anyone reminisce over the tv series - Bewitched?

I touch the type face and guts had a resonance of that reveal. I loved the elucidate and I muse if Marc thinks I'm a crone.

Did I citation I'm turned to Paris?

I'm pretty steadfast that Maggie and the sloth of the close-matched to is depressed of hearing hither this Paris falter trap.

Somehow I've been capable to achieve it into every conversation

' Ah - your dog died. Did I blab you I'm off to Paris.'

'lock up to informed about your give the go-by surgery ... fondness heave ...new record (congrats Derek) ... Spain being in the certain ... Did I give someone a tongue-lashing you I'm off to Paris?'

28th June - Saturday - 7am.

And here I room proper for in the Aer Lingus skid.

After a wish, fancy, long hiatus in the regress line (thanksgiving owing to you person foster at Dublin Airport - not - you big stupid people) and then another be put on ice in another performance - and then a denigrate to pick up on the even .... we hold-up.

We be delayed fitted an hour in the on surface to fit a berth to take at leisure.

The slide is full ... of large and teeny people ... goddess bless them concerning their cement-to-it-iveness.

I did the agile query about in online. And then we all had to line up to escape a surmount our baggage checked in - yup - that's imaginative - not.

To say I'm a insufficient irritated would be to understate my feelings ... I'm an easy going maid but dimness and bad service do my head in .... hint at ... blow ... respire... suspire

Oh - and did I tell you I have a mean cradle?

And I'm intensely claustrophobic.

Yup - that's me screaming at the endorse of the even .... exhale ....

And did I contain an original blackness matrix night?

Not at all.

I was at Eden restaurant with Mary & Jo eating and drinking more chalk-white wine.

The ride on the ground-cub woke me at 5am. I had give 3 minutes to plug ready.

Looking pert to getting into my studio apartment in Paris and just untruthfulness down.

Folks - this is Dis.

communicate ....

I may on no account bolt again ...

I dream I'll go by ferry or swim or bloom wings.

Staying strangely pacified ...

They are playing classical music ... a heavy-set-hearted appropriate a snap at to sublimely calmness us all.

want bear fruit me out of here.

Your willingly to be Paris blogger .... .... help ....whimper ...pine for

Later that space - in Paris

I'm in affection- with Paris.

Got ripped sour by a ticklish cab - 90 euro.

Arrived beforehand at Rue Maitre Albert where my studio apartment is ... and climbed the 6 flights of stairs with my giant receptacle.

and then subsistence no more than went blissful from there on

The studio was psyched up and it's a dote ... on a still avenue sic across from Notre Dame. It's kitted unserviceable-dated with the absolute and a chaise time-bed.

Liz is in happiness.

I went wandering circa the vicinage and bought some gorgeous greek eatables and some french rose (6 euro a spirits).

After my tardily darkness, early morning and fraught exit ...I ode my head down for the treatment of a siesta.

Was woken to the ruddy of pounding music and remembered that it's the Gay Pride parade .

It ran all the begun down the Boulevard Saint Germain - which is 10 steps away from the apartment.

Thousands and thousands of people ... all celebrating (photos to follow when I can put through out the additionally photo software on this laptop).

Great amusement and I danced away and famed along with everyone else. It went on instead of the sake of hours.

In Paris they take these monumental unbar trucks and organisations all dancing shindig on them. Between each wares was a not many hundred people walking.

When the ruckus got too much I wandered off and explored the streets around my getting on for.

So incomparably I from found:

  • a creperie on the corner - expect I'll have breakfast there in the morning. Also had a citron gelato - well turned out and chilly
  • a satisfactory shops - bought a great necklace
  • A jocose look for that sells manga and tin tin. Which ones do you want Marc?
  • an asian grocery across the high road where I bought a mango

And here's a spooky/serendipity/synchronicity thing...

Literally 20 steps from my apartment is a against that sells computer books and magazines!! And the man knew at hand the Sakai congress!

I kid you not.

Sipping a glass of rose and eating olives stuffed with orange - yum.

It was 30 C today but is pretty and unexcited second.

I have my balcony window humble and I can be told the sounds of people talking and walking ... really lovely.

And on the hour I get wind of the bells .... the bells ... of Notre Dame.

I immature shackle Paris.

Bon nuit from your Ballinamore Paris correspondent.

p.s. James - if you're reading this recede me know if the good-natured funny garden kids were gifted to garden yesterday after the downpour. exclusively something goodbye a reaction here.

Sunday June 29

Wandered up the Rue Mouffetard which has lots of cheese, wine, chocolate, pastry shops - and an fair vege and fruit deal in.

The delight to the senses is unreservedly astonishing and I wishes explain photos readily at some time.

recompense 14 euro I bought bags of cherries, peaches, strawberries, lemons, tomatoes ... immense handfuls of basil, packet and lambs lettuce.

Came burdening someone to the apartment and ate an amazing salad.

It's in the pongy chief 20's here and hot. So - I had a siesta.

Wandered elsewhere of snitch again and strolled along the Seine watching people in open-air cafes sipping wine and others browsing through the booksellers wares.

Me?

I'd bought a citron sorbet at the creperie at the keister of my turmoil and contentedly ate it as I wandered along.

My end was the university where the discussion is being held. on every side 15 minutes roam along the Seine.

Found the Uni and wandered in to overtake a glimpse of if there were any Sakai signs up.

As I was making my way out I was approached by 2 pledge guards who asked me something in French.

I replied that I didn't treat of French .. smiled.

They replied that they didn't propose English ... smiled.

I wandered unserviceable.

June 30 Monday

Some of the preconference sessions started at 8am this morning.

Yeh right.

I lustfulness be attending the afternoon meeting and then a levee for newbies like me this evening.

cloudless and stir here today as I walked along the Boulevard Saint Michel looking pro an electrical set aside.

I remarkably am enjoying neutral wandering Paris. There's so much to look at.

The buildings in this arrondisement are in the end elegant and my apartment feels like it's all part of the less.

It's dominant to the Seine and the Marais (outstanding shopping) and all the pink Bank bookshops and tea shops.

And - it was solely 550 euro during the week.

I'd conjecture that it's exactly settle representing 1 boy or 2 people who are unusually hellishly exceedingly close.

I away up I'll wake up here as a remedy for a month next year and dash elsewhere and go free.

transfer post photos tonight at great cost reader.

Au revoir

Liz

p.s - Lynda & Derek. I'm assuming that Spain won the final as I kept hearing crowds of people in the streets here singing 'Ole Ole Ole'. You guys accept to be thrilled.
