Attorneys Now Act Out to Be Villains

December 31st, 2009

The news of petty lawsuits filed against one medium or the other infiltrates the media a bit too often these days as a number of law firms now treat their profession as less of a responsibility towards the general public’s legal concerns and more as their own revenue generation channels.

One such law firm being Googasian P.C. whose flying high these days after its recent and only significant success – that of winning a case against a local university. Googasian P.C. made a whopping $ 5 million from the institution and cannot get over the taste of success.

It has gone to the extent of even launching a website especially reserved for presumably ‘aggrieved students’ to visit and report their ill experiences in consequence to their association with any online educational institution, just so that Googasian P.C. supposedly ‘jumps to their rescue’. Good lord why? But of course to churn out a few more easy bucks from the institution in scrutiny, which sorry to be disappointing Googasian P.C, would not be a child’s play for them time and again, as their win mentioned above was nothing more than fluke.

I say so, because a law firm that does not even bother to do their homework before going to the extent of filing a case against an online high school only portrays as an incompetent body. The online high school I speak of is none other than the widely known Belford High School which has been latest the target of Googasian’s malicious acts.

Googasian P.C. has filed a class action against Belford, a lawsuit that is far from being based on facts and a solid argument to begin with, declaring Belford to be a money-making institution, that awards invalid diplomas just like other such US based profit schools.

The Belford alumni members on the contrary, states that the lawsuit is simply baseless as had the diploma been invalid they would have been the first ones to have found out, having submitted diplomas from Belford for their higher education and jobs and only faced success in each scenario. It was also ironic as to how they stressed on the fact that chances of Belford being a US based body is lean, as they have received their respective diplomas from the UAE.

It is also highly unlikely that Googasian PC. has taken the effort of studying Belford’s official website if nothing else before filing a case against them, as their solidly laid Terms & Conditions alone protects them big time. The online education fraternity should thus on the whole should get together and protect their rights from such irresponsible and malevolent law firms.
